The robot itself works great but the app needs more features. IFTT integration for geofencing so the vacuum turns on automatically when you leave the house would be nice!

In order to use this app one has to first accept the user agreement but surprisingly it is shown as "not being accessible at this time". How convenient! This is just not acceptable.

If the App had push notifications as start / stop / error codes it would make it a much better app.

After the version 1.2 update in late January 2016, the app does not update history for over a month now. Also I used to be able to access and activate my Roomba remotely. Now the remote access has gone. I can only activate my Roomba when I am at home and on the same wifi as the Roomba. The technology features have completely failed. I have contacted iRobot twice, each time I got a polite reply that they are looking into it but there has not been any resolution for over a month now. It is very disappointing that iRobot makes good machine but their technology department is failing miserably.

Can we get the access of the camera in front of the robot? If you can do it in next update, I will recommend it to my friends about the newest Roomba!

Great app! Please verify the new automatic function does not appear for me! Also it would be nice to configure cleaning passes by day and not just in general! I would like to have a two pass cleaning on friday an not on the other days!! Thanks!

Since update bin shows full when its nowhere near full. Cleaned unit but still happens. We need the notifications please why the hold up

App has some good features and missing some I think needed features. Good features include your able to start the robot from your device. Works well if your not at home and want to run a deep clean and my kid loves to push the "Button". You can look at the health of your little cleaning buddy by looking under the care menu to see what needs maintenance. It has how to videos on how to maintenance the robot and order parts if needed. I feel like the app should send push notifications to your handheld device if the robot gets hung up or doesnt finish the job. Maybe add a spot clean and return to home option would be nice also. I think this is a good start and cant wait to see the improvements that are made to the app. My life has definitely been made easier having this cleaning machine in my house.

Finally the room a can be controlled from our phones! Took them long enough!!! But great app, needs some stable fixes! Keep on making it better please!

At very least the app could send notifications back from the roomba to the phone. For example, they know when the bin is full, ping my phone.

It doesnt show up as an option. Poor QC on the app prior to public release. You should be ashamed to release an app which claims to have new features but doesnt.

The app functions flawlessly. It communicates with the Roomba 980 Directly when on WIFI or through a cloud service when off network. The only time it doesnt function properly is if the Roomba is almost dead or not docked properly. I have had both the Neato and the Roomba and I prefer the design of the Roomba because of the app and the robots part replacement process. You pay for what you get with the Neato. I say Roomba all the way!

This app is unable to find new Irobots, Plus it makes the application completely useless.

So, I cant understand? Why no Apple Watch support? Also no HomeKit support? For a unit this expensive these should be a no brainer .. Please at the very minimum add push notifications!!!

I dont know about others here, but for my two cents,I would like to say thank you iRobot. The Roomba 980 is the most amazing vacuum robot, when compared to the very first one they produced, one I purchased the first time, 25+ years ago. First one was so dumb, just toy-like...This app still needs work: like having an error log history, mapping your own cleaning route, and being able to direct its camera to point and tell Roomba to spot clean an area; I know it will only get better. When I was younger, I dreamt of when robots could perform house chores and now it seems to be coming along soon very soon. This robot is a childs dream come true; Ive always wanted to be a robotics engineer but could not at the time, but now w/todays tech and Internet, I can certainly learn now. The 980 amazingly cleans all the crumbs, rice, cereal, dust, hair, etc; goes over most any type of floors easily. When it senses rug its motor suction increases decreases automatically. The most unique thing is that it knows its environment thru its cameras and sensors, allowing it to know where to go home m, when it needs to be charged, or is full. I cant wait till the next 5 years when these robots increase in AI tech, it will certainly be so much more powerful and intelligent.

I find it so annoying that I never know when my roombas dustbin is full. Sometimes it misses an entire cleaning session because it is just sitting on its charging station waiting to be emptied and I have no idea. Seems like such an easy fix and a no brainier.. What app doesnt have push notifications?? Also would really love if I could see a map of my house and where roomba is currently cleaning.

I really wish this had the option of controlling its position from the app IE sending it to a specific room. Making it go back to a specific room. Avoiding a room would be great too, to avoid the virtual walls! But at least the first 2 options would be great!!
