It works okay. But for the price of the Roomba 900, I expected more from the app. Pros: - See current status - Change options - Start/pause/end cleaning Cons: - No push notifications for required intervention like dust bin full, errors, etc. - Cant change options (like "carpet boost") when Roomba is charging in the middle of a cleaning job (which is often) - Cant pause a job, return to base, and finish the job later - Cant schedule one-time jobs (useful if you move Roomba around the house day-to-day)

Its a good start! Good to see the cleaning history and all other config controls. Giving only 3 stars because of missing must have feature. 4th Star: what an app without push notification. This is a must feature. 5th Star: ability to control and navigate the roomba by the app to a spot for cleaning.

The app is buggy and lacks important features touted by the competition such as push notifications when the dust bin is full and a map of its cleaning area!

Would like to see push notifications for when cleaning starts/ends, any issues during the clean, summary of cleaning job, etc. If Roomba docks itself waiting for bin to be emptied, should have the option of how long to wait before job is auto-canceled (with option to not cancel). Extras would be information about where it cleaned, maybe on a map or layout.

This is a nice app but needs some features added. Push notifications and the ability to tell the robot which room to start cleaning in would be welcome. Being able to use the app to direct the robot to spot clean a specific area seems like a feature that should have been included at launch. Native iPad support / landscape mode is also still missing. Thanks for the adding of the battery status. An estimated time till full charge would be a nice addition.

Screwed with trying to set up App for 4 Hours. I give up! Wifi app doesnt work.

Why is it so difficult to provide push notifications when the Roomba has an error such as a stuck wheel, full dust bin or stopping to charge?!?!

- One time schedule. I usually move from upstairs to downstairs and want ability to schedule a single (non-recurring) event. - Mapping feature to only clean or avoid specific rooms or specific areas. - iPad / Landscape support. Why not make this design useful on a larger / landscape screen? Could also be useful for senior market who have iPads and cant see as well on iPhones. Keep up the good work. Us loyal customers are counting on you. I dont want to be forced to buy a neato or a dyson 360.

Robot sometimes unlocks itself just to go back to the dock. This happens when it is on the dock, and I remove the bin to dump it out. Then I put the bin back and the robot backs up, turns around, goes about 3 feet, then goes back to the dock. Its odd.

Have the robot send me an alert when the bin is full.

If this company is smart enough to make a robot, why is it not smart enough to make a helpful app? Board of directors- if you are reading this- restructure you app Dev team please. The app needs the following to begin with: 1) as other reviewers have mentioned - push notifications of alerts like bin full, full house not cleaned, roomba is stuck, etc. 2) ability to schedule cleaning multiple times a day 3) ability to tap into the camera feed so I can see if the roomba is stuck. Just some suggestions for now. This is my first day using Roomba and I will update my suggestion list as I use it more.

The app does primarily what its supposed to do. I agree with some of the gripes about its functionality but it takes time and research to perfect these things. Send me a security agreement already to map my home and segregate rooms! Lets open this bad boy toy up and see what it can do!

• No push notification when bin is full or robot is stuck. • Often shows out of date information. For example, shows times that were no longer relevant hours ago. Should use Background App Refresh so that up-to-date data is displayed as soon as the app is opened. • UI is unintuitive. It says "Cleaning in progress" yet underneath shows a giant "CLEAN" button. • Cant access device history or settings when charging during a job. • The history lacks details if there is a problem. It just says Status Canceled. • UI is often unresponsive. • When renaming the Roobma, the cursor jumps to the end of line if you press space. The cross-platform UI controls in general lack the polish of the native iOS controls. • Elapsed time shows show breakdown of cleaning, charging, and waiting for operator. • WiFi setup worked well - on the second try. :-) • The general aesthetic of the app is nice.

The app does what it says it will do. I have had very few problems. Minor things like taking a while to connect to the vacuum when launching the app. My number one request would be the addition of push notifications. Please! I would love to know when the vacuum is stuck or needs the bin emptied.

Keep up the good work. Please continue to push the envelope.

If I had another chance at a first love, I would feel up my new Roomba 900.

Its hard to complain -- this app works as advertised and is a helpful companion to your Roomba, allowing you to start it, monitor it, schedule it, and even reminding you and instructing you on how and when to perform maintenance. The only thing is I wish you can configure push notifications for events like the robot starting to clean, finishing, requiring attention because it got stuck, etc.

Works without any problems. Would like to see in the future push notifications for errors and completed tasks.

The app is a welcome addition to the lineup. You do need to switch over to your 2.4gHz network for setup but everything is simple after that. Taking off a star for lack of push notifications, and no spot cleaning button. Another nice feature would be remote control like the 880 has but that is a bit more complicated, I get that. App works, scheduling is super easy, and theyve added some nice diagrams and maintenance info.
